Outpatient Wound Care Clinic Now Open
Pointe Coupee General Hospital Wound Care Clinic treats patients with non-healing wounds that require an advanced level of care. Wounds typically treated at the clinic include those that are especially difficult to heal, such as diabetic, venous, and pressure ulcers. Internal injuries will also be treated at the wound clinic, including the late effects of radiation, osteomyelitis, and crush injuries.
Dr. Michelle Carley is the physician collaborator of the program. There is a multidisciplinary staff of clinicians including a Nurse Practitioner and advanced-trained wound care nurses.
The Pointe Coupee General Hospital Wound Care Clinic is conveniently located on the second floor of the Pointe Coupee General. The clinic is open every Wednesday.
