Richard G. Palecki, DPM

Podiatrist

Born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, Richard Palecki graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. While working for the Delaware Extension Service and then the DuPont Company, Richard was active in the Big Brothers Program and still has contact with his little brother and his many children.

Richard then attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio where he earned his degree in podiatric medicine. While attending OCPM, Richard was a goal tender for the school's hockey team.

Dr. Palecki then went on to a 2-year podiatric medical and surgical residency at the Carl T. Hayden, Phoenix VAMC in Phoenix, Arizona. There he was involved with Operation Desert Foot, which combined Internal medicine, vascular and podiatry into one clinic to help save limbs. The VAMC was very challenging, and much was gained working with the many medical specialists.

Dr. Palecki likes to hike and enjoys the outdoors. He has bagged 24 state high points, the highest being Humphrey’s Peak in Arizona. He also has a ham radio license and has no hesitation bungee jumping or skydiving.

Dr. Palecki has been a podiatrist in Louisiana since 1995 and has been working in the New Roads area since 1998. He has been with Arbor Family Health since 2017. Diabetic foot care is his specialty, and he does all he can to save limbs.

His office is located in our North Medical Complex.
