The Coronavirus Outbreak

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease that was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, China, and has since spread globally.

WHAT WE’RE DOING

The health and safety of our patients and staff is our number one priority. We have increased the frequency our sterile procedures by having our Environmental Services department and all staff disinfect and clean all waiting room chairs, tables, doorknobs, and other highly-touched surfaces throughout the day.

We are vigilantly monitoring the WHO, CDC, and other local health agencies regarding the latest developments to this ever-changing situation. We will continue to update our protocols and reinforce these agency’s recommendations to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all of our patients and staff.

We appreciate your understanding and patience during this evolving public health situation.

What To Do If You’re Sick

If you develop fever, cough, and have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19, please follow these recommendations:

  1. Call your primary care doctor.

  2. Call 211 or text the keyword LACOVID to 898-211. This 24/7 hotline is available to answer your Coronavirus questions.

Residents can get written answers to the most-asked questions by concerned citizens on LDH’s 211 website.
