A new, updated Treadmill Stress Test machine in Pointe Coupee General's Respiratory Department will enable the hospital to better serve the community's needs, according to Dr. Donald Doucet, Respiratory Therapy Medical Director. The machine replaced an older model from about five years ago.
Who will take his place? Who will be the next administrator of Pointe Coupee General Hospital? Who will replace Mr. Jerry Marquette? Can anyone else walk those miles “in his shoes" - and do as well?
As we close the third quarter of fiscal year 1987, I've noticed that we have pulled together to create the team that is necessary for survival. Believe me, it's not over. We must continue to work together, because health care will continue to change.
As we approach the last quarter of our fiscal year 1986, we should not look back at our trials and tribulations during those nine months, but look towards the future of not only our Hospital Service District, but also for our individual entities which we represent.
There are many times we forget to say "thank you'. I feel that "thank you" should be the most used words in our vocabulary. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks for what we have accomplished in 1984.
We are older, hopefully wiser and, most importantly, still together. Yet, we face a New Year — 1984.
Periodically, managers of steam plants must schedule a time to open the flues and release built up steam. WHY? Because if not reduced, steam pressure can grow to enormous heights in the giant power facilities. Pressure can become so great, it can explode and destroy the plant, killing both workers and those living around it.
Recognizing Pointe Coupee General Hospital's role as a public entity and its obligation to the community, the management of the hospital is committed to the effective utilization of the resources which will provide excellence in the delivery of health care services in a comprehensive and cost effective manner.
